Day 2

Today I was actually giddy, waiting for the DH to come home. Knowing that I will be able to go walking again. It has become like a treat. But I think I'm addicted to the feeling I got the other day while walking those 5 miles. It was happiness, happy that I know my life is changing for the better. I know it will be tough but I have the determination to keep going!

It was really cold, so the DH recommended I try the local public gym. He said It had a indoor track and it was only $2 per visit. So I checked it out, It was nice. I think this will be the new place I try....well until it gets warmer.

I got all dressed and ready to go. Armed with my ipod filled with upbeat "Work-out" Music and a positive attitude. I started out slow, once around to warm up and stopped to do a couple of stretches. Then I was on my way. I was in cloud nine, today seemed easier and of course not so cold since I was inside. This "indoor track" is kinda small the guy at the desk says it takes 10 go arounds to make one mile. Hmmm I really don't feel like counting. So I thought since it took me roughly 2 hours to c,omplete that 5 miles on Monday maybe I will go with 2 hours again. So that was settled walk for 2 hours straight at a fast pace.

30 mins in I was pretty impressed with myself. I felt good, I was in my zone. As I was walking more people started to join on the track. Some old Hens who seemed to just be walking so they can chit-chat, 2 jocks , and a very focused old man with a counter. :)
So as I was walking and in a great pace here comes the old hens chatting away, and slowing me down. So I thought maybe If I try and run a bit I can pass them and not have to worry about getting blocked again. So here I went.....running....it didn't feel so bad. So I thought Maybe that's how I can challenge myself walk fast , then at each bend, ,,,,,,sprint, then continue to walk. So that's how I did it, I was so ecstatic I was doing it. RUNNING, now granted it was only in short spurts but hey it was running!

It was a little hard cause I am very "blessed" on top but it wasn't unbearable which was surprising. So from then I decided this will be my new regiment: fast walk, then sprint, back to walking. I just hope I don't die. All in all it was a good work-out because I was sweaty, my proof that I was working hard.

Yay me
*^_^*
